CHRISTMAS AT BAGO IS ONE TO REMEMBER
We invite you to our charming tractor shed outdoor space, which is fully covered, providing the ideal setting regardless of the weather.
The Tractor Shed is Bago's private function space. It boasts spectacular views of the maze and vineyards. The design is modern rustic with an impressive cast iron wood-fire oven at the centre and towering timber ceilings. The space is separate from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas and lends itself to all types of gatherings, no matter the occasion.
Here are 10 tips to ensure your christmas party is one to remember!
Set a budget: Establishing a budget helps you manage your expenses. Don’t forget to account for venue hire, food, drinks, and decorations.
Choose a theme and decorations: A well-defined theme adds character to your party. Consider something that complements our rustic tractor shed ambience, whether it’s a classic Christmas or simply a mix of table decor with earthy colours, mason jars with fairy lights and Christmas red berries. Or you could go complete summer vibes and each wear a fun tropical shirt.
Create a guest list: Identify who you want to invite and how many people your venue can accommodate. Our tractor shed is perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations! The space seats up to 45 people plus standing room for another 20.
Select a date and time: Pick a date that works for the majority and choose a time that allows guests to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Be sure to book in advance, as this is a busier time of year!
Send invites: Digital invitations are quick and easy, but don't underestimate the charm of sending beautiful printed invitations that align with your theme. Think, brown paper, gold foil and calligraphy script style writing.
Plan your menu: At Bago Maze and Wine, we offer delicious meat and cheese platters (vegan and vegetarian options available). Guests can also purchase wine by the glass or bottle from our cellar door, and you’re welcome to hire in your own catering for additional meal options!
Please note: No BYO alcohol and you cannot cook food on site however you’re welcome to store food in our fridges.
Prepare entertainment: Keep your guests engaged with music, games, or even a holiday trivia quiz. Depending on the size of your party, you could arrange for live music to set the tone. You can even take your festive games out onto the grass areas to enjoy the sunshine!
Plan for weather changes: Our tractor shed provides the perfect outdoor experience without the worry of rain. Guests can enjoy the fresh air while being shielded from unexpected weather.
Host a secret Santa gift exchange: Organise a secret Santa gift exchange among your guests to add an element of surprise and excitement to your party. Have everyone draw names in advance and set a price limit for gifts to keep it fun and accessible. Encourage participants to think creatively about their gifts, perhaps focusing on the recipient’s interests or hobbies. This can also serve as an icebreaker and get everyone mingling and chatting during the party.
Capture the fun: Ask a friend or hire a photographer to capture the day. A fun idea could be to bring a Polaroid camera or provide everyone with a disposable camera at the table, allowing guests to capture candid moments to look back on once the photos are developed, just like the good old days!
We hope these tips inspire you to create a memorable Christmas party. Our tractor shed outdoor space at Bago Maze and Wine is ready to host your festive gathering, complete with delicious wine and platters. Cheers to a joyful season!
